Overview

Users leave, and devices are lost or decommissioned. These pages cover removing either from the organization, and the effect on the access and licenses they held.

• De-register, Ban and Unban Devices covers misplaced or decommissioned devices, and revoking a device’s access without removing its user.
• Archive and Delete Users covers removing a user, and the distinction between archiving and deleting.

Because a license stays with a user until it is explicitly revoked or the user is removed, these tasks also determine license consumption. See CSE Licenses.
